Dobrich’s dynamic Energy Days!

First IMAGINE Local Forum

On 21 September, Dobrich Municipality organised its first IMAGINE local forum with the involvement of more than 50 participants (citizens and stakeholders), having in mind that the “IMAGINE – low energy cities” project focuses on the dialogue with local stakeholders and visioning exercises towards Local Energy Roadmaps 2050.

The forum was part of different events organised in the framework of Dobrich’s Sustainable Energy Days within the European Mobility Week. This year the EMW took place from 16 to 22 September 2012, and the town of Dobrich, as a Signatory of the Covenant of Mayors, participates each year.

Dobrich’s participation in the Open Days

During the IMAGINE workshop at the Open Days (see our article on this topic), Mayor of Dobrich Detelina Nikolova presented the activities and the results of EU co-funded projects and initiatives for local stakeholder involvement in the city. Dobrich has managed to achieve remarkable results in energy efficiency and building a greener city through the use of local private investment (such as ESCO schemes).
