IMAGINE Low Energy Cities Project kick-off !

Energy Cities’ initiative IMAGINE has given birth to a European project under the programme INTERREG IVC. The cities of Bistrita, Dobrich, Figueres, Lille, Milton-Keynes Modena, Munich and Odense are involved, as well as Hafen City University as academic partner and Energy Cities as project co-ordinator.

The objectives of the IMAGINE Low Energy Cities project are to increase know-how exchange between those cities in their long-term strategies towards an energy transition. In the end, eight local energy roadmaps will be developed and will prefigure the visions shared by the local stakeholders of their cities as Low energy cities with a high quality of life for all.

The very first meeting of the IMAGINE project took place on 28 and 29 February 2012. Lille (France) was the railway station for the departure of the project, the journey of which will bring us to 2050.

IMAGINE aims to help us invent our future low energy cities with a high quality of life for all.

This was the first time the partners met and they have laid the foundations for creating a climate of trust and implementing positive dynamics to work together. It is above all in a very friendly atmosphere that the partners started this adventure, and it looks promising!
